Hand Forged Arrow T Hinge, Tee Hinge - Black Door Ironmongery
Along with the traditional Gothic and Suffolk Latch our Arrow End T Hinge ( sometimes known as a Tee Hinge) is one of the most popular products in our Door Ironmongery range. As a rough guide the T Hinge should cover about half the door width. This style of hinge came about in an attempt to prevent the individual planks of a ledge and brace door slipping and dragging on the floor, with modern fixing techniques this is no longer a problem.

We have also extended our range of Arrow and Penny T Hinges to include 24", 15" and 9". As an alternative to the tradition latch you may wish to consider our Cottage Latch in both Left and Right hand options.
If you are commissioning some traditional ledge and braced doors a pleasing addition would be to use our hand forged Rose Head Nails to dress the front of the door.
